Hubertus Clausius, MBA, CFA
Portfolio Manager and Managing Director
As a Portfolio Manager and Managing Director Hubertus has the full investment responsibility of Seahawk Investments GmbH. At Seahawk Investments, he has been managing a Long Short Equity Fund (UCITS) focused on the sectors of transportation and energy since May 2019. Prior to establishing Seahawk Investments GmbH in April 2018 Hubertus has gained more than 10 years experience in managing large institutional mutual funds and institutional segregated account mandates with a total volume of more than EUR 1.5 billion.
In 2007 he joined Helaba Invest as a Senior Fund Manager. Initially, he focussed on the fixed income segment managing institutional segregated mandates and two mutual funds. One of which has been rewarded with the highest 5-star Morningstar Rating in 2011.
Thereafter, he has expanded his expertise, covering a large spectrum of asset classes. Since 2011, he has successfully managed complex multi-asset mandates covering international equities, fixed income credit and sovereign instruments. In this role has managed to outperform his benchmarks by a significant margin.
Prior to joining Helaba Invest he worked with Swiss Re Asset Management (Asecuris) from 2002 to 2005 as their client relationship manager within institutional asset management. From 2006 to 2007 he was the Assistant Portfolio Manager and Trader for Landesbank Berlin Int. in Luxembourg. In total he has 15 years of experience within institutional asset management.
Hubertus earned an MBA from SDA Bocconi (Milan) and is a CFA Charterholder.

Soeren Ferre

Director of Transport Capital (Aviation) in Singapore
Soeren Ferre, Managing Partner at Transport Capital, is heading the aviation franchise. Until 2013, Soeren was Managing Director and Member of the Board at Capital Lease Aviation (LON: CLA), a firm involved in the leasing of aircraft. Until 2010, Soeren was CEO at AerCap Group Services (NYSE: AER), one the world’s leading aircraft leasing companies with a fleet of 1300 aircraft.
Prior to that appointment, Soeren held other positions at AerCap, including Head of Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific (2006-2007), Head of Asia Pacific (2004-2005) and Vice President Marketing Asia Pacific (2003-2004). AerCap grew its portfolio from US$ 2 billion to US$ 10 billion during the 7 years Soeren worked there.
Prior to AerCap, Soeren worked at Airbus, a leading aircraft manufacturer, as Sales Director Pacific and China (1997-2003) and General Manager Marketing China (1995-1997).
Since 2010 Soeren is Strategic Advisor to the Board of Directors of APFLeet, an aircraft financing and leasing firm. Soeren graduated with an engineering degree from ENAC – the French National School for Civil Aviation.

Joshua Politis, MBA

Managing Partner of Transport Capital (Offshore) in Singapore
Joshua is Partner and Head of Offshore at Transport Capital. He has 15 years of international experience working on 4 continents and a proven track record in the maritime and offshore energy industries in general management, commercial management, business and corporate development and in running operations.
Prior to joining Transport Capital, Joshua was Director and General Manager for Asia Pacific at SEACOR Marine (NYSE:SMHI), where he headed the operating business. During that time, he also led USD300m of Asian based M&A and restructuring deals.
Over the course of his career, he has developed an extensive international, senior level network of support vessel, drilling, production and construction asset operators, lenders, investors, advisors, shipbrokers and shipyards.
Joshua holds an Executive MBA from the Singapore Management University.

Philip Clausius

CEO & Managing Partner of Transport Capital in Singapore
Philip Clausius is Founder and Managing Partner of Transport Capital in Singapore. Apart from the overall management responsibility for Transport Capital, he also heads the shipping franchise.
Prior to founding Transport Capital he was Co-Founder & CEO of the FSL Group, a Singapore-based provider of leasing services to the international shipping industry. During his tenure at FSL from start-up in 2003 until mid-2013 he oversaw the acquisition, financing and deployment of approximately USD 1 billion in maritime assets. He was also the driving force behind the highly successful IPO of FSL Trust in March 2007 which raised about USD 330 million in equity proceeds in a globally marketed offering culminating in FSL Trust listing on the SGX Mainboard.
During his 25 years in various entrepreneurial roles in shipping and ship finance he has worked and lived in Europe, the US and now in Singapore since 2005.
In the context of client investment management and advisory mandates Philip currently serves as Director and CEO of Nasdaq OMX Copenhagen listed Nordic Shipholding. In addition, Philip is an Independent Non-Executive Director of ASX listed Wellard, a Non-Executive Director of Bengal Tiger Line, a Director of the Standard Club and Standard Asia, as well as Chairman of the Singapore War Risks Mutual. Philip is also a Member of the Advisory Panel of the Singapore Maritime Foundation.
Philip graduated from the European Business School, Germany in 1992 with the »Diplom-Betriebswirt« degree.
