As a growing independent investment specialist, Seahawk Investments GmbH is focused on absolute return strategies in the alternative investment area. We are now looking to add an exceptional Junior Portfolio Manager to our growing practice, based in Oberursel, Germany. The ideal candidate will co-manage our thematic long/short equity strategy around the transportation and energy industries.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Daily supervision of collateral and margin requirements
- Monitor market risk
- Perform sector research in the areas of transportation and energy
- Write-up research reports and sector-specific articles
- Prepare monthly performance reports including attribution analysis
- Prepare Presentation Materials both in German end English Language
Qualifications
- University degree, with emphasis on Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar
- Progression towards or completion of a professional qualification (e.g. CFA, CAIA) is desirable but not a requirement
- 1-2 years of professional work experience in financial institutions, asset management, banking, financial consulting or similar
- Skills and Competencies
- Fluent in English and German with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literate with particular emphasis on MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint) and email. Exposure to Financial Modeling in Excel is an added advantage
- Attentive to detail, able to build and maintain work relationships, and willing to learn
- Highly motivated Individual
